Over the holidays, I spend a ridiculous amount of time going through piles of magazines and old tear sheets that I had collected at my parents house. Funny enough, it wasn’t the editorial that I remember loving the most – but the makeup. As a girl who – until most recently – never bothered with more than a bit of foundation and lip gloss, it’s kind of a miracle that I tore this page out back in 2006.
I seriously wish I had a face that could pull of this haircut, not to mention the time and patience to maintain it. I think I was drawn to the whole look because my coloring is so similar, and I loved the classic vibe of shoot…

This shot in the dining room is my favorite – I wish more editorials took place in gorgeous homes. It’s like double design porn.

There’s such a simplicty to the styling in here too – it’s not trying to hard to be anything but feminine and flattering…

Doesn’t she evoke a little Elizabeth Taylor in this shot? They story was shot on location in Argentina somewhere, by the way, which lends a little twist to this classic Hollywood look that I fully approve of.
